Bangor Grammarian’s Glittering Gala Ball

Bangor-GrammarAs a past-pupil of the school, I’m happy to help promote this year’s Gala Ball. See you there!

Bangor Grammar School has a long and distinguished history with international sporting legends, politicians, leading businessmen, writers, and medics among those proud to call themselves Grammarians.

This year, the Parent Teacher Association will be celebrating this legacy in spectacular style with an evening of glitz and glamour at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel on Saturday 3 October 2015.

This is the first time in many years such a formal evening has been arranged, and an open invitation is warmly extended to alumni, current and past staff, parents and friends of the school.

Already over 220 tickets have been snapped up for what promises to be a fabulous night of celebration, nostalgia, reunion and entertainment.  As the Bangor Grammar Gala Ball promises to be a sell-out, those interested in attending are being encouraged to book tickets as soon as possible to guarantee their seat at the premier Bangor Grammar social event of the year.

The Bangor Grammar Gala Ball has already attracted the attention of multiple honoured and high profile Grammarians living in Northern Ireland, and many exiles are even travelling home especially for this extraordinary event.

Bangor Grammar School principal Elizabeth Huddleson said: “This promises to be a wonderful evening.  While we have moved to the most modern of facilities in the shape of the new school on the Gransha Road, and Bangor Grammar today would be unrecognisable to many ex-pupils who attended College Avenue, we are determined to preserve what is best in the ethos of the school, embodied in our vision of promoting excellence, taking a full role in our local and wider community and providing our boys with every possible opportunity to succeed in their chosen field.

“Links with the wider school community are important to us and we look forward to seeing old and not so old faces at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel,” she added.

Tickets for the Gala Ball are £40 per head, which includes a sparkling drinks reception, a sumptuous, four-course gourmet dinner and entertainment.

If you wish to book tickets or enquire about a corporate table, please contact the Gala Ball organising team: bgsgalaball@gmail.com in the first instance.
